BETHEL
“Meeting Place With
God”
We hope you will enjoy your
time in the mountains. It is a beautiful
place to relax, kick up your feet, read a book, and watch the sun set
against
Mount Mitchell. The view is great from the front patio and
yard.
The house is situated on thirty acres with a paved driveway, private
trout
pond, hiking or biking trails, and many beautiful trees.
Bethel is a perfect place for families and friends to fellowship with
one
another or a great place to be alone with the Lord.
The house is at 185 Clear View Lane in Burnsville, NC. It is
a mile
from town at 3400 feet above sea level. The house is 1600
square feet
and has a large front patio with a picnic table. The large
front yard
has two benches to enjoy the view or sit around the fire pit at
night.
There is plenty of firewood for your campfire.
The house has beds and eating utensils for fifteen people.
The front
bedroom has a bathroom along with two queen beds and a pull out double
mattress
under the queen. The back bedroom has a bathroom along with a
double
bed, two bunk beds, and a cot. The family room has a fold out
queen
sofa, two additional sofas, and a large stone fire place.
Boxed kindling
for starting fires is in the front shed and plenty of fire wood is
stocked
outside. All beds have pillows, bed spreads, blankets, and
mattress
cases. The kitchen is very large with lots of counter space,
refrigerator/freezer,
dishwasher, stove, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. The
house
comes with TV, VCR, stereo system, games, puzzles, reading materials,
phone,
and answering machine. Long distance outgoing phone calls are
credit
cards only. A gas grill is on the front patio.
Please shut off
valve after each use. Washer and dryer are in the
basement. The
water source for this house is spring fed into a 1000 gallon reservoir
and
is not treated. For drinking water we suggest you use bottled
water.
The heating source is fireplace, kerosene, or electric base board
heat.
The house has no air conditioning but ceiling fans and window fans are
supplied.
There is a private trout pond behind the house that is stocked with
rainbow
trout. Pellets for feeding trout are by the pond in a plastic
container.
You can sit on the dock and feed them for a great relaxing
time. Only
feed a maximum of four cups per day! Please only catch trout
for eating
fresh in the mountains or catch and release using wet hands and net to
help
their survival rate. Please do not bring back coolers with
fish!
**** The trout pond is
currently drained for cleaning and restocking, which will be completed
by fall 2011.
